There are laid down design processes right from the  requirements mapping to the solution  to the final review of the design. The guidelines define the assembly  and sub-assemblies, file naming conventions, directory structure, material selection, design arrangement etc. 

The solution options explored are evaluated for the requirement fulfilment, cost, safety and durability. The most optimal solution is selected to match the quality and budget. Various options are explored like different materials, type of motors, pneumatics verses hydraulics, LM guides against guide rods. Based on the evaluation,  most optimum solution is selected.

The repository of the design modules is continuously updated and enriched with every new project. The proven standard modules are re-used while building the design blocks.

This is  the most important aspect of any system. The design guidelines ensure  a good ergonomic design.  All the aspects of ergonomics like working height, operator reach, movement of body parts, position and design of interfaces, component handling and movements.

At most care is taken while designing the system for operator safety. Safety is considered during working of the system as well as during its maintenance. Safety checklist is followed during design. Interlock are provided in the control system so that during regular operation and manual mode operation, the machine is safe. 

Every system needs after sales support after commissioning of the systems. It can be for the operator and staff training, maintenance support, enhancement to system for additional requirements / new variants, or for breakdown in some  rare situations. Praestans provides excellent after sales support to all the clients.

A strong knowledge repository is maintained for learning from the past projects. The reference library is maintained for all the components required for designing any system and is accessible to all staff members. The components and vendor database is maintained for quick reference during the design.
